Why should I register my nickname?
If you plan to chat regularly (at least once every 30 days) you should register your nick. That way no one else can use the same nick, and when you enter the channel everyone will know it's really you. The ScoutLink network encourages regular chatters to register their nick, although it is not required.
How do I register my nickname?
Before you register have a password chosen and write it down. You will
need the password to identify after signing on in the future. This is how
ScoutLink knows the nickname is yours. Typing in the box in your program
where you normally type your chat, type /nickserv
register password email replacing password
with a password you will remember (or write it down!), and replacing email
with your e-mail address. Passwords are case-sensitive. You
should received a message saying that your registration was accepted, and
reminding what password you gave. If you receive no response, check
the command and try again. Once your nick has been registered, you'll need to Identify each time you log on to ScoutLink.
If you need help, please do not hesitate
to ask any of the regular chatters for assistance.
How do I identify?

normally type your chat, enter /nickserv identify
